All equipment supplied by RUGGED MOBILE Systems is available with a range of warranty and support options, including:- extended warranty period of up 5 years or more
– comprehensive cover including accidental damage and theft
– a selection of SLA’s from basic repair through to next day exchange and on-site support.
Wherever possible we work with manufacturers with their own (or fully authorised third party) service and repair centres based in the UK. For some products, including those manufactured by JLT Mobile, RUGGED MOBILE Systems is the UK authorised repair centre.For all equipment we provide comprehensive technical support and advice covering the full project life cycle from product selection, evaluation, design, implementation, roll-out and operational issues. This service is available 5 days a week 09:00 to 17:30.
Where required, we take responsibility for the installation design and installation activity for systems and all associated equipment.
We supply and where necessary custom design suitable mounting fixtures to securely mount equipment in fixed plant or in-vehicle locations. We also supply and fit associated accessories such as docking cradles, UPS battery back-up, external communications and GPS antenna, barcode scanning and RFID devices, printers, industrial keyboards and additional interface hardware.
We will carry out installation surveys on behalf of our clients to determine the most appropriate and safe locations for equipment fitting and arrange for the installation to be carried out to the relevant standards and codes of practice, including FCS1362 for vehicle-mounted systems.
We recognise that installations are often not permanent and may require equipment to be relocated during its operational life. This is particularly relevant with in-vehicle applications where vehicles may be exchanged within the lifetime of the systems. We can manage this process very efficiently on behalf of our clients.
