The new Smart-Ex® 203 extends the well-established and widely recognized Smart-Ex® smartphone series, offering a dedicated solution for mobile applications in Zone 2/22 and Division 2. It sets the benchmark for industrial-gradesmartphones for use in hazardous-rated areas.

With a 6.3-inch (16 cm) display and strong focus on high performance features, it brings innovations that enhance mobility, including 5G & Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and eSIM support, providing future-ready communication capabilities.

The Smart-Ex® 203 supports global 5G and 4G networks with 52 frequency bands for campus and private networks. Its 6.3-inch display is optimized for AR applications and digital workflows, providing a future-proof solution for mobile workers. The dual SIM capability, with eSIM and nano SIM, simplifies network switching and management. A fingerprint sensor ensures secure biometric authentication, while the familiar Smart-Ex® 03 UI includes features like Glove Mode and Smart Call Handling for seamless operation.

The high-resolution 48 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, which also functions as a torch, and the 16 MP front camera offer excellent image quality. An additional interface supports expansion with accessories such as the Scanning Module SM-Ex S203 SR. Running on Android 14 with AER (pending) and ARCore certification (pending), the Smart-Ex® 203 guarantees long-term software support and future upgrades.

The optional SM-Ex S203 SR snap-on module turns the Smart-Ex® 203 into a powerful 1D/2D scanner, extending its range of practical applications.

The short-range scanner adapter is based on the advanced Zebra SE4107 1D/2D scan module. It is able to read a variety of different codes, features a sensor resolution of 1280x960 pixels and has an incredibly low weight of only ~ 5.5 grams.

The IP 68-rated, MIL-STD-810H certified, intrinsically safe and Push-To-Talk ready smartphone meets the high specifications for Android Enterprise Recommended (pending), meeting the highest requirements for business use and security.
