The Nexcom VIP 1000 (Transmitter: VIP 1000‑T and Receiver: VIP 1000‑R) is a next‑generation Full HD dual‑HDMI extender over IP designed specifically for public transport environments. It delivers reliable HDMI transmission beyond 100 metres, streamlining how passenger information systems (PIS) and onboard infotainment distribute video throughout a vehicle.
The receiver, VIP 1000‑R, includes an additional RJ‑45 network port, enabling seamless in‑vehicle DaisyChain expansion so operators can support more displays without complex cabling. The system also supports multiple transmitters on the same network, allowing different video sources to be distributed simultaneously. Through an intuitive web interface, operators can easily select and manage the desired video feed, making system control more flexible and efficient.
